Primary Prom Performance!

St Mary's Orchestra inspires other Primary School Pupils

What an amazing day we have had! 7:45am we were off the rehearse in the Anvil for the annual Primary Prom. The Primary Prom is there to inspire children from around Hampshire and we certainly did that. We performed two packed concerts for over 1000 Primary aged pupils at the Anvil, performing an exciting "The Great Escape" with amazing percussion solos, "I got plenty of nuttin'" featuring our bass section Aidan, Tomas, William, William, Eliane and lucy, "Animal Samba" and then "In the Hall of the Mountain King" where the whole orchestra finished with an amazing climax.  Many thanks to Sarah, Jo, Shannon and Louise for helping us with the day and looking after the children (and music teacher) really well. The children excelled themselves and played incredibly well, showing what Primary aged children can do! It was an honour to have been asked to play and we thank Hampshire Music Service for inviting us,
