On Wednesday 15th January, all three year 5 classes performed concerts to a group of parents showcasing their work in music over the previous half term. It was lovely to see so many parents attend each class concert and enthusiastic toddlers who listened beautifully and clapped enthusiastically. 

Each class performed songs using the five chords they had learnt before Christmas. 

This unit of work is picked up again in year 6 where children learn to play 12 Bar Blues and use ukuleles to compose their own songs. 

Any year 5 and 6 children who wish to continue ukulele are welcome to join the ukulele club that meets on Thursday lunchtimes. Ukuleles are provided and there is no charge.
