Calshot 2021
Monday
We've arrived and the children got to work straight away in making their beds. A challenge for some, they overcame the first hurdle and earnt themselves some well-deserved lunch. With full stomachs, it was time for the first activities. The groups got stuck into beach bonanza, skiing, climbing, crate stack and the tricky initiative course, made trickier by the inclement weather. However, the children haven't let this dampen their spirits.
We're all hoping for a restful first night, in preparation for a full day of activities tomorrow! After
Tuesday
After the first night's 'sleep', the children were ready for another action packed day. Unfortunately, the high winds meant that it wasn't possible to kayak today, but the children were overjoyed by the replacements of cycling in the velodrome and snowboarding!
We had some groups venture out to the New Forest to explore on an orienteering course and challenge themselves on the big swing, even Mr Gibbs gave it a go!
Bedtime awaits for the very tired adventurers.
Wednesday
The week is flying by and the children can hardly believe it's Wednesday already!
Another action packed day for our adventurers today. The children have thrown their hands to snowboarding, skiing, ringos and, a popular activity, the big swing. The children are now playing the teachers off against each other to see which member of staff can get to the highest point before being dropped!
The final stretch is in sight and the children are excited for the final sessions over the next day and a half.
Thursday
Thursday already and the children are all starting to feel very tried. As our action packed week comes to a close, we are so proud of everything the children have achieved this week. They have shown real determination and resilience in all of the activities and had a blast!
The final challenge will come tomorrow when they try and pack their suitcases but for now a movie night awaits.
See you all tomorrow!
