The Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane, Mr Paul Frankum and Mayoress Mrs Jane Frankum visited St Mary’s, in recognition of our continued support participating in the annual Festival of Sport with our twin town Euskirchen.

The year 5 children and their German counterparts were thrilled to greet our visitors in their classrooms to answer questions on the art activities they were working on.

After a morning spent in the classroom the children will have an afternoon of sporting activities out on the school field, the sports on offer are rounders, kwik cricket and volleyball.

Next year our children who were kind enough to host will have the opportunity to attend Euskirchen and Marienschule to partake in lessons and sport.
