Our year 6 girls had an enjoyable afternoon encouraging and supporting each other 100%. Despite losing their first game a very close 0-1 they were not dispirited and went into the second match full of enthusiasm and after several near misses at goal drew 0-0.  Building in confidence, believing they could win we went into the final match. Every player worked hard together, driving forward and taking on the opposition at every opportunity. This proved a huge success with 2 goals scored and 3 near misses, finishing the afternoon on a high, winning 2-0. The girls were a pleasure to take to the tournament and I felt very proud to be part of the St. Mary’s team cheering them on from the side line.
