Year 4 Maypole Fun

Year 4 had a great workshop this morning with Tom and Chris from Folk Active. Linking in with music lessons, the children learnt to dance the maypole accompanied by live music. They learnt that maypole is all our culture because we all live in England. We also learnt that culture is personal and involves where we live, where else we have lived, where we have family, what our hobbies are and much more. We talked about how sharing these parts of our own personal culture brings us together and makes us work together and appreciate all our wonderful differences.
