St Mary's CofE Voluntary Aided
Junior School

Year 3

In Year 3, children embark on an exciting journey of learning that builds on the foundations laid in Key Stage 1. Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, encourage independence and deepen understanding across a broad range of subjects. Pupils explore engaging topics in English, develop fluency and reasoning in Maths and investigate the world around them through hands-on Science. R.E sparks curiosity and learning about different religions builds on their knowledge. History and Geography lessons bring the past and present to life, while Art, Design & Technology, French and Music nurture creativity and self-expression. Through PE, children build physical confidence and teamwork skills and our PSHE curriculum supports their emotional wellbeing and social development. Year 3 is a year of growing confidence and discovery.
