St Mary’s had achieved huge success in Basingstoke school sport this year; therefore we were chosen to enter three teams: Quadkids, Basketball and Netball.

We arrived at the Aldershot Military Stadium, to begin the day with a parade for all the sportspersons, before setting off to their various events. The atmosphere was amazing, providing a wonderful experience for all our pupils and enhancing the traditional St Mary’s team spirit.

All teams performed superbly throughout the day, with the Quadkids receiving the bronze medal, Basketball reaching the ¼ finals and Netball only losing one match to the eventual winners.

We are very proud of all our children who took part and a huge thank you to all families who provided assistance with transport and supported our teams.

A special mention to Mr Wyatt who contributed a great deal of his time and energy, coming into school to coach our Basketball Team to such a high standard.
