Year 5 have had a fantastic time at the Gordon Brown Centre this week learning some key survival skills which might be useful in a rainforest!  This links to our topic and also to our reading text 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell.  We enjoyed den building (especially being squirted to check how water tight they were), archery, climbing (including the infamous 'death drop' which everyone tried) and finished with a campfire and more importantly marshmallows.
