Y4 go farming

Laverstoke Park Farm - home of Car Fest and a fantastic education centre.

It happened that we were visiting during lambing season and we saw the newborn lambs (in fact we witnessed a lamb that was taking its first steps only 5 minutes since birth).  On our trip, we met the buffalo, held some week-old chicks, turned cream into butter, discovered the diet of a farm animal and saw what waste we create with our lunches each day.  Did I mention we also took away with us a salad crop using Laverstoke Park Farm's compost?

Thank you to Clare and all the team at Laverstoke Park Farm - we had two great days of trips.

It was an amazing, memory-making day out for our year 4 children over the two days.  Here are a few pictures to share a taste of what we got up to.
