Irreversible changes in year 5
What an exciting morning year 5 had.
As part of our science learning we made popcorn - an irreversible change that uses heat. We learnt that not all heated materials go through an irreversible change (water for example only changes state).
We also mixed bicarbonate of soda with malt vinegar and saw a balloon fill with a new substance - evidence of an irreversible change taking place!
