Music Festival Performance

Ensembles Festival

On Saturday 9th March, pupils from St Mary's performed in the annual Basingstoke Music and Arts Festival in the ensembles section. Orchestra, String Orchestra, Brass Band and Ukulele Club all performed alongside our friends from St Mark's Primary School. The adjudicator was incredibly complimentary about all four groups. They all came home with awards and first place certificates with commended or distinction.

Woodwind Festival - Saturday 16th March

Congratulations to those St Mary's pupils who played in the BMAF Woodwind festival.

These were 

Beginners: Julie G and Ruby G

Grade 1: Lexi B, Hannah F, Seth V, Freya W, Buddy Y, Harriet M, Nora G, Hudson R, Sophie W, Amelia P.

Harriet won the CUP

Grade 2: Lila S, Elizabeth O, Siri R.

Elizabeth won the CUP

Grade 3: Serena B, Abi M.

Abi won the CUP

Grade 4: Serena B, and she won the CUP

Mini Challenge: Robyn L.

Junior Challenge: Serena B, Rowan S, Buddy Y.

Also congratulations to ex pupils Isabella and Lucas. 

Isabella S won the cup for intermediate challenge

Thank you so much to Mrs Ludford, our woodwind teacher, who organised the opportunity for our woodwind players. 

Gala Concert

The String Orchestra performed at the Gala Concert for the Music Festival. We were awarded an additional cup for the school orchestra who had the highest score for all ensembles in the festival.
