  • More sporting success

    Sporting at St Mary's

St Mary's continues to deliver on sporting success! We have had a range of sports over the past 3/4 weeks. Our netball team qualified for the netball finals and performed valiantly, beating teams that finished 4th and challenging throughout. Our rugby team goes from strength to strength and has won their 4 games so far. Indoor athletics won the Basingstoke event and went to compete across the county, finally finishing 14th overall in the whole of Hampshire. They should be very proud of their achievements. Finally, our boys football team made it to the Basingstoke finals day where they lost against eventual winners Park View before coming out on top in a closely fought 3/4 play off game against Oakley, winning Bronze.

We have also enjoyed sending children to a gymnastics event, giving all pupils a chance to participate.

We look forward to more football, rugby and athletics coming up in the Summer term, while cricket and hockey starts.

As always, thanks to the parents for their support.
