Year 5/6 Hockey Champions!

On Tuesday 28th April, the St Mary's hockey team travelled to Down Grange to take part in a hockey tournament against five other Basingstoke schools. All year, the children trained together during hockey club and this hard work and perseverance was evident in the way they passed, moved and supported one another. The team were undefeated, only letting in three goals over the course of the afternoon and finished joint top with St John's A. Because we had won our game against them, we were awarded with the gold medals, trophy and the Dave Watton award. We now go to the County Finals in June. Well done all!
