Individual Table Tennis Tournament – 13th January 2015
The Basingstoke U11 individual Table Tennis competition took place on 13th January at The Costello School. There were 24 boys and 20 girls taking part from 5 different Basingstoke schools, including 8 Y6 boys and 8 Y6 girls from St Mary’s. The children were divided into groups of 4, with the top 2 from each group going through to contend the Cup whilst the remaining players from each group performed in a separate knock-out competition.
Team Table Tennis – County Finals
Following our recent success at the Team Table Tennis Area Competition, both our boy’s and girl’s teams competed in the County Team Final on Friday 28th November at Testwood Sports College, Totten.
On 20th November St. Mary’s took a team from year 4 to the Basingstoke Rugby Football Club for a mini 7 a side tournament.
For this year’s Children in Need, the St Mary’s School Council wanted to try and raise as much money as we possibly could.
On Friday 7th November Year 3 were treated to coaching sesion from Basingstoke Rugby Club.

Senior Choir Autumn Concert – A night at the movies with Basingstoke Silver Band
On Saturday 25th October 2014, the Elizabeth Hall in Hook rocked to the sound of the cornets, euphoniums, trombones and tubas as the Basingstoke Silver Band held their Autumn Concert. This year they kindly invited us along to sing.
Year 6 are about to set off on their residential trip to Calshot Activity Centre. Full details of the centre can be found here. We leave on Monday 20.10.2014 and return on Friday 25.10.14 ready for a well earnt rest in half-term.
