Many thanks from both schools and the PTA to all who brought along bags on Monday.
Year 3’s topic entitled “Be the best you can be…” has focused in science on teeth and eating. At two thirty on Tuesday 25th September 2012, a dentist and dental nurse visited year 3. They came from Dental care Hook.
Following the PTA meeting on 19.9.12 we are pleased to announce the kind donation to the school of £6000! Many thanks to all who have contributed.
On Friday 7th September 2012 Oxfam, which is a charity that goes round helping over 70 countries, came to visit us.

Taiko Drumming for years 5 & 6 – The biggest drums ever!

On Friday 13th July 2012 year 5 & 6 were able to drum, drum, drum!
“The 2012 Olympic Visit” as it was hailed by Rotherwick based Gordon Brown centre promised many events; ‘javelin’ = welly boot throwing, ‘chariot racing’ = wheelbarrow racing, ‘relay racing’ around the maze, ‘long distance’ running up the big field, ‘handball’ = water bomb throwing & catching and tug of war, amongst others, all done in the Gordon Brown Centre style, and it did not disappoint.
Olympic torch come through Basingstoke
Wednesday 11th July was no ordinary day for the children at St Mary's Junior school as many took advantage of the opportunity to witness the olympic torch travel through our very own Basingstoke.
