Church of England Junior School

Open Day March 2016

On Tuesday we welcomed over 160 parents and relatives into school to share all that we are proud of here at St Mary's.  The sessions started with a fantastic performance from our Senior Choir. This was a great opportunity for them to practice their entries for this years Music Festival!  Mrs Welch informed parents of changes to National assessment and reporting arrangements before our visitors had time to tour the school and see us in action.  We were proud to show off some after school clubs and very proud of all the children who talked to visitors about groups such as School Council and Global Friends.  A range of lessons were on show throughout the day from computing lessons to lacrosse on the playground. We were pleased to once again share the day with many organisations who support the school through curriculum opportunities and running extra curricula activities.  We would like to thank Sportz Xtra, Basingstoke Rugby  Club, Totally Tennis and Linguastics for their continued support. Representatives of our Governing body and St Mary's Church were also on hand to talk to parents and share information.
