Hampshire Music Service teacher Ms Schwartz came to visit this week. She brought with her the trumpet, trombone and French Horn. The children were taught how to breathe and blow brass instruments. With the trumpet they were shown how to hold the instrument (hold a glass a water with a cheeseburger on top!) and about the function of the valves. Listening to the trombone, we learnt about how to create low sounds and high notes using the slide and about a glissando. With the french horn, we learnt about the history of hunting horns. It was a great concert!
