Year 3 Trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace

Year 3 find out more about the Romans in Britain!

On Monday 26th February, Year 3 travelled to the south coast to visit Fishbourne Roman Palace as part of their topic looking at the impact of the Roman Empire. While we were there, we investigated the remains of the palace including the beautiful mosaic floors and visited the wonderful Roman gardens. We also took part in a Roman workshop where we got to dress up as Romans, play Roman games, create our own mosaics and spin wool into thread. We also visited the museum which helped us to find out more about the history of the palace and some of the other Roman artefacts that were found at the site. Take a look at some of the leaflets below we wrote about Fishbourne for more information. You can also find photgraphs from the day in our photo gallery under 'Our Learning'
