Living and Eating Healthily

Today, Year 6 were visited by a nurse from the NHS. She spoke of the weighing and measuring scheme run by the UK Government which allows them to keep track of trends across the country related to growth and health.

She spoke about positive habits linked to eating and exercise. The children were able to answer he questions and they spoke eloquently when asked about what they could do to improve their own habits.

The messages delivered by the school nurse compliment the work we do here at St. Mary's to promote healthy eating and exercise. It links well with our school values of respect and responsibility. We know we have to look after our own bodies and we know this starts at an early age. Positive visits like today help the children to maintain or start more positive habits.
