Hobgoblin Theatre Company Present 'A Christmas Carol' to Year 6!

Hobgoblin Theatre Company visited St. Mary’s yesterday afternoon in order to treat the Year 6 children to a performance of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Full of Christmas spirit, the children were entranced by this adaptation. A particular highlight was the panto-style humour which made both children and adults alike laugh uproariously.

The classic tale was told in such a way that the children came out enthusiastically discussing the story, the characters and their new dance moves! Wooden Tiny Tim and Mr & Mrs Fezziwig will long stay in the memory!

Next week, the children will use the experience to inspire some ‘A Christmas Carol’ creative writing which they are looking forward too greatly. The quality is always fantastic after they’ve seen the theatre performance as they understand the characters and the themes clearly.

Year 6 would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
