Holocaust Memorial Day
As we usually do on January 27th, we joined with people across the world to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day.
We looked at this in terms of: ‘God created all people in his own image’ and ‘treat others as you would wish to be treated'.
This year we read Susanne Kenton's story of how she survived the Holocaust. Suzanne was sent out of Germany to London on what became known as 'Kindertransport'. On Holocaust Memorial Day Susanne wants us to remember all of the children who were looked after by new families. Susanne also wants us to think of all of the children and mothers and fathers who did not escape and were killed by the Nazis.

We also spoke to all of the children about the importance of not researching this subject on their own at home, but rather to do this with an adult.
