We were pleased to invite back Kate from Southampton Art Gallery to work with our Year 6 children.  In ordinary times, Year 6 would have had the opportunity to visit the Victoria and Albert Museum in London to look at their Islamic art exhibition, however Kate’s visits provided an excellent alternative enrichment to their Wise World Topic. This printing workshop looked at the creation and history of geometric tiles which are one of the most distinguishing features of Islamic art as a whole.
