During the group stages, all the St Mary’s children played exceptionally well with enthusiasm and sportsmanship, winning many games and supporting each other throughout.  The majority then went forward to contend the Cup, with some exceptionally close games played along the way.  After winning all their games, the boy’s final was a St Mary’s affair between Edward and Jamie, with Jamie being the eventual winner.  The girl’s final was between Rucstal and Anaya from St Mary’s, with Anaya again winning overall – this is the second year running Anaya has won the girl’s title which is a fantastic achievement.  We wish Jamie, Edward and Anaya the best of luck in the County Final which will take place in Southampton on 13th February.  Special mention must also go to Isobel Reid who finished third, being knocked out by Anaya in the semi-final, and also to Alex De Silva who finished 1st in the separate knock-out competition.    As is always the case, we are very proud of all the children who took part who are always so sporting and enthusiastic and a real credit to St Mary’s so a huge well done to Jamie, Henry, Edward, Joseph, Peter, Sam, Alex, Louis, Anaya, Isobel, Hannah, Katie, Chloe, Lucy, Katie & Harriet.
