  • Christmas is coming!

    Christmas is coming and with it the start of our Shoe Box collection. Families will be considering a range of small gits and toys that will fit into a shoe box as part of the Rotary Club Appeal for Christmas presents for children in Moldova, Montenegro, Albania and the Philippines and may otherwise not receive any presents.

     

    Do please send boxes in from Thursday 16.10.14 and they will be collected on Thursday 23.10.14.

  • Bumper Crop...

    Bumper crop for the foodbank

    As part of our focus on community responsibility, linked to Harvest time, we once again supported the Basingstoke Foodbank. The volunteers who collected your donations were astounded by the shear volume and it was a tight squeeze fitting them as well as all the tins, jars and packages into the car. Your donations will provide at least 40 emergency packs for local families in need in our local area. Thank you and well done.

  • Football Tournament

    10 boys from Year 5 were selected to play in a 7 a side football tournament at Oakley Junior School against 10 other teams. The children worked really well together as ‘One Family’ giving encouragement and support which enabled us to win 3 games, draw 1 and lose only 2 by a close margin. Overall we finished in 4th position, which was an excellent result considering the wealth of talent attending the tournament from across the schools in the borough.
