    School Improvement Plan 2025-2027

The School Improvement plan is developed by the Governing Body, Senior Leadership Team and school staff. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to set out the school’s vision, ethos and long-term direction. It takes into account the views of stakeholders, including staff and governors, and will inform our day-to-day work, measure progress and ensure the best use of the resources available to the school.

The plan is for the next two academic years, but will also be flexible to allow the school to take up opportunities that may arise or changes that need to be made in light of national or local educational updates or priorities. This will ensure that the school works towards high quality education and the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

    Key Priority 1:

    Key Priority 2:

    Key Priority 3:

    Key Priority 4:

    Key Priority 5:

To improve outcomes in writing at the end of Key Stage 2 by increasing the percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard and raising the number of pupils working at greater depth.

To raise attainment and progress for girls in mathematics across all key stages, with a particular focus on increasing the proportion achieving the expected standard and Greater Depth at the end of Key Stage 2.

To improve boys’ attitudes to learning and behaviour. To raise their aspirations across all year groups by fostering a culture of high expectations, engagement, and personal ambition.

To ensure that pupils who are vulnerable are supported to ensure they make progress and achieve in line with non-vulnerable peers

(disadvantaged pupils, those with SEND, those known or previously known to children’s social care, and those facing other barriers to learning)

    (Effectiveness as a Church School)

To secure a successful SIAMS inspection under the current framework by embedding a clear, inclusive Christian vision that drives policy, practice, and culture, ensuring pupils and adults flourish spiritually, morally, and academically.

This will be achieved through high-quality teaching, clear skills progression and a consistent whole-school approach to writing that fosters creativity, technical accuracy, and a love of language.

This will be achieved through targeted teaching strategies, enhanced curriculum design, and the promotion of positive attitudes towards maths among girls.

This will be achieved through inclusive teaching practices, positive male role models, enrichment opportunities, and regular pupil voice activities that help boys see the value of learning and envision successful futures.

This will be achieved through clearly identified shared working with other agencies, close monitoring and a curriculum that is ambitious, inclusive, and responsive to individual needs.

This will be achieved by embedding the school’s Christian vision into all aspects of policy, curriculum, and collective worship, supported by staff training, pupil engagement, and strong partnerships with the local church and community.
