Clubs and Activities

Enrichment opportunities

We aim to enrich our children’s experiences by providing them with a range of opportunities:

Our offer of ‘clubs’ is continually being reviewed in order to provide our children with the widest selection of both activity-based and sports clubs. These currently range from sugar craft and yoga to rock-it-ball and judo as well as more mainstream sports such as football, cricket and athletics. Please click here the link to see our full range of this term’s clubs.

Children also have the chance to learn a wide range of musical instruments (click here for more) and are provided with opportunities to perform
to an audience, both as an individual or as part of a one of our choirs or music groups (click here for more & see our latest news). Drama opportunities are also planned in as part of our curriculum to support other subjects, as part of class assemblies and in Years 3 and 6 children take part in full scale productions (see some photos here).

In Year 6 children have the opportunity to go on a Residential trip to Calshot Activity Centre where they experience a wide variety of outdoor activities designed to promote independence and teamwork, as well as building their own confidence and self-esteem (see here for more).

To enrich the children’s learning experience a number of activities and trips are also planned into curriculum. These have included: Lego workshop, African drumming, Shakespeare workshop and trips to the Manor Farm, Living Rainforest, Hampton Court, Stonehenge and Theatre trips.

The children are already involved in fundraising for charities, which have included: Children in Need, Shoe Box Appeal, Sport and Comic Relief, Diabetes UK and supporting a child through her education in Uganda.
