Less experienced staff continue to be supported in delivery of PE lessons by more experienced member of staff and coaches from local clubs including gymnastics, cricket, football, rugby and hockey. 100% of teachers stated in teacher questionnaire that their confidence had improved in the teaching of these lessons. Teams provided with training before attending events (See above)-Challenging our most able sportsmen/women. 111 children involved in external competitions, an increase of 2% from 106 in 2015- 16. 51 children across the school competing at higher levels outside of school. |

A wide range of clubs on offer, including less traditional sports such as Bollywood dance-Increased participation in alternative sporting activities. ALL children given opportunities to attend after school clubs. 231 children attended a sporting after school club in 2016- 17, an increase of 5% on 2014-15. |

Qualified coaching to work alongside teachers (currently sourcing most FOC from local clubs) |
Qualified coaches from local clubs used in Football, Rugby, Hockey and Cricket lessons, who have then promoted their clubs to the children. 272 children now take part in a regular sporting activity outside of school in 2016- 17, an increase of 4% on the previous academic year. Teacher’s subject knowledge and confidence increased. 100% of teachers stated in teacher questionnaire that their confidence had improved in the teaching of lessons as a result of external coaching. Developed staff confidence in delivering all areas of the PE curriculum Children introduced to wider range of coaching approaches. Local basketball, tennis, athletics and cricket coaches used to help provide training for County Games Challenging our most able sportsmen/women.
